I recently spoke about funerals bringing people together. I’ve also recently had the misfortune of attending my uncle’s funeral. He passed suddenly from an accident on Fourth of July. My family pulled together in our grief even though the other half of his family made this whole ordeal more difficult. Despite this setback I have never seen such consideration and compassion between my family and friends than I did that day. Why does it take a death to allow people to open up?
Don’t wait for a death. Reach out and reconnect to those people you have lost touch with. Hug your parents, siblings, relatives. Tell people how much they mean to you while you still have the chance.
